Couldn't push off toe of right foot so skipped race I was entered into. Biked later in the afternoon and it was a tough ride to Plattsmouth and then Hwy 66 west which is really a roller coaster. Got very warm but was happy that I could keep going for 90+ minutes. 15.9 mph

Glow for Gabby 5k - I wasn't aware of this race until last night when a friend said she was doing her first 5k. As hot as it was, I debated all day whether to go or not, but finally committed and signed up at the last minute. No official timing, but they awarded prizes to the top 5 and I finished 5th! 2nd of the "old farts"! Nice group. Nice course! I will have to plan for it again next year!

Had to keep off the foot again. Patience, patience. Hit the bike while Matt and Jason did some MRP. Lots of giggles. Met back up at Meadowlark at 6, where to my surprise were Benny, Greg, John and Kevin. Party hats and noise blowers were the icing on the cake. Cruised downtown where my runners sounded like a gaggle of injured geese. Lots of well wishes and honks from passers by. We ended with coffee and laughs. Lots of giggles on my part. So thankful. :) Just what the doctor ordered.

Houghton's Pond. Ran 7 mile clockwise skating rink loop with Harvey and Corky. Started easy on early downhill portion then worked hard on loooooong uphill. Average pace 8:50.

Right quad really sore when I stopped. Spent some time working it out and chatting with Gentleman John and Adam (finishing up their trail run) before continuing solo. Ran 3 easy miles solo then bonked.

2 PB&J sandwiches and water on way to Y. 60 min usual strength circuit. Hadn't been in a while so backed off a bit on weight.

Home for lunch then ran 5 more easy miles. Finished off with 20 min stretching.

Thought I was ok on food and drink (breakfast and water at 5 AM), but think I started dehydrated and underfed. Overall good day even with the piecemeal run.

Got through my exams for work this week, so have a bit more time to relax now. Got my "long" run for the week in. Avg'd between 6:18 and 6:29 mile 2 through 10, then did a short tempo (5:35, 5:38) and a mile cool down. It was a tough spring so I'm happy things are starting to feel like it's turning around again.

Saw Mo and Tmac as I was heading out towards turnaround.

Basically Springfield Mopac Trail to the Shrine and back.

Felt like it took more effort on this ride than the last coule of times. Guessing it is because of the temps and humidity. Time wise. About the same or even a bit quicker. Saw 7 walkers, 2 runners, and 7 other bikers. Didn't scare anyone today.
