Scotty Wiz workout (1-2-3-4-5-5-4-3-2-1 min hard with 1 min jog rest) at FoD. Warm up 3 miles. Cool down 4 miles. Great to have Katie and Fink to run with. Plus TJ far ahead and Ed and Harvey cheering us on. Had to visit the woods after 2nd 5.

Workout totaled 5 miles at 8:00 pace. Much better than last time at FoD.

Lots of hiking afterwards. Redlined all the Powisett Farm main and side trails. Started on Noanet Woodlands trails, got about 30% done. Hiked 17.25 miles. Strength circuit at Y. I'm a bit tired now.

Just kind of run down feeling from stuff the last month or so. Tried to force a run. Wasn't that bad going against the wind, but the sun broke through just before I got the tailwind and it was a sauna! Just took out what I had left. Stopped the Garmin and walked the last mile.

Really didn't want to do this after going to Bryan XC meet this am but sucked it up. Ended up with good timing as a front moved through and I had complete cloud cover and some breeze...even got a shower on the cooldown. Ran the No Frills course. Probably too fast but got it done: 6:32/6:29/6:30/6:19/6:16 = 32:06 Averaged 6:25 so it was too fast for tempo. Oh, well. Felt like I was starting to fall apart over the last couple but was actually going faster. I guess that's a good thing.

Some days you just get lucky....today was one of those days. The incomparable Kim Collier and I hit the road. This lady is one in a million. I'm so fortunate to be able to run with her. We pretty much forgot we were running with all the talking. She is so good for the soul. :)
