Drove to Lincoln and ran with the Lincoln Group. Easy until the last 5, when the pace got a bit frisky and the competitor in me likes frisky.

Gonna do one more week of transition running before officially starting the Boston plan. Feeling good and thankful for that!

I saw "La La Land" yesterday and loved the music, the dancing and the old time cinematic "feel" of a musical in modern times Los Angeles. While I thought Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling were great, I would have preferred it if their singing vocals had been dubbed by professionals. This was the case for most of the leads in "West Side Story", and that movie has stood the test of time. I was amazed that it was Ryan himself at the piano (instead of a stand in) following an intense 3 month crash course...even John Legend was impressed!

Song of the day: "Epilogue" by Justin Hurwitz, off the "La La Land" soundtrack. A lonely piano unfolds, joined by lush strings, a jazzy beat, an insane trumpet soaring to the heavens, then ending with an even more solitary piano figure. BRAVO!

Well, you know you're a bit deranged when you actually join an additional gym because your normal gym doesn't open early enough on the weekends. Two gyms! Sooooo, this was a different stairmill, and I'm embarrassed to say it only clocked me at 402 floors. :/ I did two stairs at a time for a minute every other minute. Sweated off my body weight and then some.

Drama at the pool. Molly's HS swim Coach sent me an email last night saying he doesn't want Molly swimming five events today for her Club meet. Especially the 200 Fly. Big meet next weekend for HS swim and he wants her rested. Club Coach is pissed. He says he knows more than her HS Coach does. But, HS Swim is her priority now. She's all stressed trying to make everyone happy. I told her to forget that notion right there, cuz that's never gonna happen. Fun!!

Gracie was a little SuperFish in the pool yesterday. Proud Mommy.
