Carl's birthday run!! Met Lindsey and Shawn in The Center parking lot and we headed east, risking life and limb :), to meet Carl and Justin coming from Prairie Queen. Then, turned around and headed to chalco and picked up Brandon. Carl was sweaty (shocker) and thirsty but still had a smile on his face!!
Happy birthday to one of the best guys around!!
My guy has a birthday today, too, so it's a great day to celebrate :)

The great pants debate happened in my head today. I took off running through town and this elderly woman was watering her flowers. I thought she was watering them with no pants on and I'm thinking to myself, well that's odd. She must've saw me staring at her as I went by, she yells to me, wow, you're really in shape! And it took everything I had not to say, wow, you ARE wearing pants! They were very light tan colored pants. Note to self, never ever buy pants in that color.

Pretty happy I was indoors today. My legs were tired on the bike, but I tried my hardest and pushed it. I did some lat work and 50 push-ups before hand. Had to jump off the bike and sprint to the shower to get to work on time.

I almost did my normal craziness and tried to join Carl at 230, but alas, cooler (smarter) heads prevailed and, with work, I just couldn't. :/. Happy Birthday to one of the good ones. A guy whose loyalty is second to none. A real, genuine friend. :)). Happy 40 CJS.

Carl's 40 for 40! I ran from the center to meet Carl at Prairie Queen Lake. Skocz was with him so I took Carl from there and Skocz went on ahead to meet us at the center.

Saw Dan shortly after to get some water and chat a bit. We headed down 132nd St and were joined by Lindsey, Betsy, and Edie. We all played a little frogger going down Giles to 144th St.

Got to see some eagles flying around at lake wehrspann. Betsy, Shawn and I turned around near the parking lot at the entrance to head back to our vehicles.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CARL!!! Our great friend is celebrating 40 years by running a 4 park FORTY miler! Best of luck to him, and wishing him a wonderful day as well!

I was to run the Prairie Queen section with him this morning, but Dummy Dan blew it. I drove out there, then made the mistake of not staying put and decided to run out to meet them. Long story short, we missed each other. However, I did drive around after some texting and met up with he, Justin and Brandon as they were leaving Prairie Queen, wished him a happy birthday, had a brief chat. And got him some water, which he downed like a camel--it was hot and humid out there! Still they looked great! 1000 apologies to Carl for missing the run!

Song of the day: "I'm Shipping Up to Boston" by the Dropkick Murphys...a Carl approved band and theme!
