Papillion [20180812]: Return of the Halpenny

It'd been nearly a year since I actually ran w/ Laurie Halpenny, she has spent most of that on the shelf.

Sunday was our triumphant reunification run; invitation sent to / accepted by CN, who brought surprise guest Robbie.

Great group, great run, great way to kick off Sunday.

The road to Bismarck continues with 5 weeks to go.

Song of the day: "An American Dream" by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band...written by Rodney Crowell with harmony vocals by Linda Rondstadt. The song was also covered by Rodney's close friend Guy Clark under the full title "Voila, an American Dream".

Slept in later than usual so a 6:30 start. Had a good run but was kind of beat up from a very long work week. Always love running long its like a little vacation drive on foot.

Thought it might be much cooler temp wise. Went from HI to the college and high school campuses. Took a detour through a park to avoid surprising a person with headphones on and to look for a pit stop. Found one but it was padlocked. Such is life. Good trip up here yesterday, about 450 miles. Had a good visit with the Swizzlestick family. Headed down the western border today on our way back home. Enjoy your Sunday.
