Great run with Mo and T-Mac....did the usual loop along with some added on in the South Bend lake neighborhood...

Feeling better...proud of how I got through this run...hopeful it's a sign of better days to come.

Informal fun run to celebrate it being (almost) Pi Day. Thanks to Pearl Izumi for sending t-shirts and a raffle prize. The Dude made an appearance but didn't bring any running clothes. Time to start keeping an emergency running kit in his car.

Air was a little damp at the start, but only a couple sprinkles the entire ride. Decent pace against the headwind on the way out. Started pretty fast on the way back, but as we started the next climb after the fastest descent, my rear derailleur cable broke just as I was shifting down and it went into the smallest cog on back! Took me a couple seconds to realize what happened. Had to shift to the middle ring up front and muscle through the hills and stops on the way back! Good group, decent weather, fun ride!

Well, looks like that's all for my running career. Wanted to give it one more try, but barely made it around the track. The knee is shot. At least I got the chance to run a 5K with my daughter. It was the only incomplete thing on my running bucket list. If I try to ignore this I'm now messing with my ability to walk without a limp. I can bike and row, so at least now I can focus on them and stop deluding myself. Oh well...
  • Dan Dan Bummed to hear this. But glad you are focused on the positive and the future! The 5K with your daughter is a great conclusion to the running!

Meet Regnier and Hatt at the zoo. Felt way cruddier than yesterday. So struggled through some marathon effort miles. Found a zone where I was definitely not comfortable, but got through it. Splits ended up not being that bad.
