6 hill repeats. Wowsa. Feeling stronger but so old compared to these kids lol. They still think I'm in my 20s though, so there's that, haha!

Still quite humid, but a nice, easy run with Theresa - it's been 2 weeks! Half solo and half with Theresa as she eases back into things after hurting her back. So good to catch up with her.
First soccer weekend trip of the season to KC tomorrow - will be fun to watch some games again. Hope the weather holds out.
Have a great weekend!

Rest in peace, Aretha Franklin. A voice that could move mountains, stir souls and warm the coldest heart. And her fingers were one with her piano. Thanks for sharing your gifts.

Song of the day: "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman" by Aretha Franklin; written by Carole King (music), Gerry Goffin (lyrics) and Jerry Wexler (title). One of the finest examples of the marriage of a great song with a great artist. Carole would later record this song as the closing cut of her brilliant "Tapestry" album, but she fully acknowledges that Aretha took her song to a universe of passion and emotion far beyond imagination.
  • BetzE BetzE Well said, Dan. She was truly a gift.
