Beginning to wonder if I'm ramping up too fast. Even after a day off, legs were absolutely shot after this run. I could barely get in the Jeep. M1 in 11:30, M6 in 13:30 and I was trying for consistency. Fortunately no pain anywhere, just no gas. Will try slowing down a bit.

Did not expect the slipperiness this morning. Black ice bonanza!! Had 10 seconds of 'life flashing before my eyes' near disaster. But, some fancy stutter-stepping and effective use of grass had me surviving. Half way through the run some wet, hard stuff from the sky made things even more enjoyable.

Spending this holiday taking care of those not feelin their best. Makes me proud to be a nurse to look around and see all these peeps sacrificing time with their families to care for others when they need it most. Good people. :)

Well, been sick most of the week. Haven't run as it seems I really need to rest when I get this head and chest thing so it doesn't proceed in to the typical sinus infection or bronchitis. Heading to algona today (maybe) for Christmas. Had our family shindig last night with the girls and guys. Got a new toy to spice up my running and tech life (help me Carl!) - a Garmin Vivoactive smartwatch.
