Last day in Hutch and ran Luce Line trail west. First mile very easy then the rest in 8:0x. Not feeling any energy but got through it with only mild right hip discomfort.

Tough going. Had to stop on the way back and stretch out the Usual Suspects. It did help though. Also was dehydrated. Old guys know they are dehydrated when they don't get up in the middle of the night to pee. Life is full of little tradeoffs.

Cooler than I would have liked. Wore leggings and a jacket. Didn't realize they had milled Platte River Rd! Made for a very buzzy segment! Killed pace and legs for a while..

Just went up to start. 400 ft of gain in just over a mile. This flatlander was sucking wind. All singletrack except an out and back along the reservoir road to connect trails. Finished with the last 2 miles on a pretty flat section. It did feel good to be able to pick the pace up for that section.

Got to greet Ron L, saw Bob G heading out in the half. 5k race was a bit short because they left out this little up and back. Nice morning for it. Baseball and the last of the track meet before heading for home. Back here towards the end of next week for more baseball and state track.
