Lincoln Duathlon - Finished 2nd in AG (OK...there were 2 of us and the winner finished 5th overall!). Though both the run and bike were slower than 3 years ago, I was somewhat happy with the run because it was one of my stronger runs of late. The bike section disappointed me. Thought I should have been faster, there. See some things I can work on before the Papillion Duathlon on Father's Day!

Struggled. Not in great shape after 5 hours in the ER yesterday. Face and body full of road rashes, swollen knee and wrist and shoulders, stitches in the hamburger that is my chin. No breaks or fractures. Going btw 15-20 mph in front of 1909 Campanille Rd, big, bad dog charged my bike and hit me square in the pedals. Clipped in, face first, luckily helmeted, I'm a mess today

Really focused on going slow and keeping my heart rate down early in the run so that I'd be able to run a little further. Not a bad run, but probably not where I should be 3 weeks from race day. Oh well. We'll see how it goes. Time to put my feet up for a while.
  • Dan Dan Pretty tough with the temps and humidity as they were. I think the only thing that saved me on my run today was starting ridiculously early to avoid the sun in the mix. I am sure you will be fine for Gmas.
