From Lied Center. First half loop w/a tbird and then added 2nd half solo in Bellevue. Really humid...sopping. Was much nicer two hours later when cool front moved in. Both knees a little sore but overall felt better than I expected after the last couple days.

Back at the pool. Recap in the water of the weekend. So many emotions. Front and center is big disappointment. I know it's a major kudo to finish a marathon, and I really appreciate that, but I am so disheartened by my result. It just doesn't sit well with me at all. All that work I put in, all those hours, all that time away from my kids. I wanted more for my work. But, I realized in the pool, that I still have my same goal. I don't think it was too lofty, I just think there are more steps than I was counting on. But that's ok. That will make it that much sweeter. Nothing in my life lately has come easy. But that's what makes it so good. So that's my frame of mind now. I have my eye on the prize, and like Wasse told me, my sights on my goal. And I will get it.

So much thanks to all my friends who have supported me. You are so, so special to me. It was so rough. The heat. How ironic, I told CJS, that the heat got me. I'm not such a huge fan anymore. And, I have a new respect for this thing called marathon. Colleen told me yesterday that marathons are moody bitches. Yes, yes they are. And I cannot wait to have another crack at her.
