Continued testing runners this morning with a simple, "Hello." Only 0 of 5 runners responded and 1 of 2 walkers did. As for the run, calves were very tight still. Took about 2 miles to loosen up then it felt good. Did 45 minutes cycling warm up before the run and leg and core routines after. Good session overall.

Hip continues to feel good, so, off to The Z I went for a send off run for Senor hOg, he's running the Bellingham Bay Marathon this weekend.

First run w/ Judge in a long time. First ever run w/ Ecto1! He's good people... earned his first #IRanWithCarl badge today (a ltd ed one, for the sendoff).

Got to run with Dan too, good to see him; can't wait for his oHIo Mary next week. Also, was able to chat w/ Ashley for a bit.

All of that said, here's the stopper: there were two people from Wayne, America today! Cathy (Dalton) and I are from the same hometown. Just a few years apart, we knew A LOT of the same people / places / etc. She moved in the mid-80's, so I didn't know know her... but, it was so much fun talking and reminiscing.

Up early to the pool to take care of business. Felt really good. 2750 yards before jetting to work.

A really big congrats to my friends at Pink Gorilla. They were given the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce Tourism Award. Basically, they are getting kudos for bringing people into Lincoln. It really is a cool thing. These guys are just the most down to earth, nicest guys. And they put on the best races around. When I texted Ben congrats, he gave all the praise to the people of Lincoln. For their involvement and support. "It takes two to tango" were his exact words. :) Typical Ben. The definition of humble. So happy for all of them. Stellar peeps.

Send off run for Scott! Big group. Nice to finally meet Rob (Ecto) and to see Ashley and Andy after a very long time!
