Miserable conditions fit for running idiots like myself, Ron and Nel. Don't know what I did to the top of my left foot but almost limping most of the way. Didn't need that.

Merry Christmas everyone! Not the best nights sleep with the 9 yr old ready to open presents at 3 AM. Eventually we had wrapping paper everywhere and then went to the beach. It was a gorgeous day although the water is a bit chilly. Run was a bit tough in warm weather and after being in the sun for a few hours. Tried to stay in the shade as much as possible. Had a guest in my post-run shower. Gecko had got trapped in the shower. Thanks to some tupperware he was soon captured and released. Most of the family also had a bit of excitement when a bobcat came out of the woods into the backyard while everyone was on the screened in lanai. They got a good video.

North Bend [20161225]: Christmas Day 10K

Before getting Christmas Day started, I got out the door for what originally was to be a 10-miler... BUT, the slick streets forced me to find stable footing elsewhere (didn't feel like going solo, in the dark, on the country roads). Found said footing in the snow covered, white rocked parking lot of NBC (Go Tigers!). Ran just under 4 miles in said lot, figured a 10K would be "good enough".

I knew NB was flat, but 3 feet of total elevation gain?! HA!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Merry Christmas! Except for the driver who cut the corner and came close to running me over. :) waited out most of the rain but it was still damp. Old thing it wasn't cold, would've needed ice skates.
