Solo on the mean streets & hillZ of Papillion, La Vista, Ralston (1.5 loops of Fun Run course) and Omaha. Hip felt a little off a couple of times within the first few miles; but nothing after about mile 5 or so.

Not until very end did I see another person; and we had the same 2016 Nebraska Marathon shirt on. Buddies for life.

Headwinds were a bit of a struggle, but the overall run went pretty well. Four weeks until 50-50!

DVRing the LA Marathon this morning and looking forward to watching it following mass. LOVED that race last year! In addition, I would be DVRing the NYC Half, but couldn't find a listing on TV.

Rest in peace, Chuck Berry. Keith Richards, Brian Setzer, Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix and a cast of a gazillion guitar players owes you seriously.

Kept repeating to myself, and hearing Matt's voice, Do not go to the gym, Do not go to the gym. So, I didn't. Slept in a bit and did 45 min with Jillian before work. Once here, I feel a bit antsy, but fairly well rested. Weird.

Went to LRC last night for a bit after work to hang with my peeps and support Wandzi with Trails in Motions. Really good stuff. And great people.

Girls keeping me posted at the pool today. Making me proud, mostly before even stepping on the blocks. Life lessons everyday.

I am one of those guys who is always 15 minutes early for everything.. So I ran Fairground Dirt Loops until El D showed up. Kelly ran by while I was running dirt loops so I high jacked him for our run. Great run with Gary & Kelly. A ton of Nebraska running history with those guys equates to great stories. Old running stories are like a fine wine, they get better with age.

Nice recovery from yesterdays time on feet workout.
