Skipped Riverfest run to sleep so wanted to do something a little faster which was a disaster. Weather cannot suck worse. Warm up to LaPlatte, then 6:24 and started a second mile and quite at 1/2 mile (3:22). Just brutal.

Ran with my 6 year old in the Downtown Runaround. Her first time. She just kept asking when she could sprint. She may have held back a bit too much. She topped out at about 6 min pace for the last block and beat me by a second. Older daughter ran solo and finished a couple minutes ahead. Little one also managed to have a question mark on the sleeve of her official shirt and won $20 in Columbus bucks which we immediately had to go spend on an UA duffle bag.

Ran 1 mile at home then Battle Road Trail run with Emily and 2 of her GLRR friends. Stayed with them for about a mile on the way out then worked to delay their passing on the way back as they went further before turning around. Faster on the way back. Lots of runners on the trail.

Nice small-town race. Course was mostly along a lake. Pretty warm and sunny so about what I expected. The last mile was not very good and I slowed down a lot. I went from a waddling porcupine to a turtle. :))

A fun little run. Glad I went. My Garmin had it a little long but no matter.

When I turned the last corner, there was a loon swimming along shore. loved that. :)
