11.9 miles on Hwy 23. Had the Jeep serviced, needed to go get it, and was home by myself so took the bike. Around 15 vehicles were going my way. Most got over with the exception of 3. One semi driver probably wasn’t very happy to see on the road. Nice to have shoulders on the slopes at least. Nice evening for a ride.

Race week!! Bound determined to keep the mileage low, and the pace slow... see if that, combined with little to no training, will get me (at least) to the finish line on Sunday.

BetzE sighting! Got a high five, and a blast of warmth from her heat + heated seats. ;)

Fun route, took a few turns I've never taken; found a new favorite regency area property: the house @ 92/Leavenworth, just looks cool.

Wound up in Regency Parkway, so, naturally, in attempt to rattle as many sticks in butts along the way, I ran on nearly every path in the "park" there (even an out/back to touch a gate on The Godfather's property!). Continued to follow the path/trail, found out where the trail @ 98.5 & Pacific goes!

We played the wimp card and stayed inside. Matt ran on the treadmill and I swam in the pool. Haven't swam in a looooooong time and it showed. Matt walked into the pool area when I was finishing up, and said I "needed to get out now". Evidently, my form was slipping. :/ Super tired.

Big meet today. Most likely the final race for Molly this year. JV Championships. She's 9th on the team. Her coach wants her to be at Districts on Thursday and State next week as 2nd alternate, for Varsity. She is loving it, but said she cannot wait to get into the pool. Her true love. I am working now, but get off at 3 to head to Pioneers Park. Lovely weather!!! This is a huge meet, and could be a really big race for Molly. Can't wait.

And yesterday, she turned 16. Unbelievable.

Although I ran Sunday at the Z, this was my first run back home on my stomping grounds. Unbelievable trip, but it is good to be home as well :)

Another joy--got an overnight email from Fandango that tickets are available for "Star Wars: The Last Jedi"! Got 'em, reserved seat, 3D, and now just have to speed up the calendar for December 14!

Song of the day today is a two-fer:
"Lay Down" by Strawbs and "Penny Lane" by the Beatles. They commemorate my final 2 days of my trip.
-Last Thursday, I saw Strawbs at the Stables Theatre in Wavendon, England for a brilliant show; post show meet and greet, plus photo with leader Dave Cousins! "Lay Down" opened their encore and is loosely based on Psalm 23.
-Last Friday, I did a day trip from London to Liverpool, England (birthplace of John, Paul, George and Ringo), and saw all the great Beatles sites including the Cavern Club, Strawberry Fields, and Penny Lane!

I wholeheartedly believe Soccer (FUTBOL) is the one sport that truly unites the World! :)
