Differentiating the good discomfort from the bad. It was a good discomfort today. One that I could take. One that was reminding me that it's coming back. More at ease and more smooth today. Dissipated some fears and anxieties.

Active shooter drill at work yesterday required some critical thinking and also made me grateful that I can run. I hope that it was also a wake up call for some of our staff and students not just on the importance of safety and recognition, but also on the importance of their own physical, mental, and emotional health. Our whole community came together on this one to make it work. I got to work side by side with my husband and father in law in their roles on the fire department for part of this one, and I am proud of both our school community and the community I live in for what happened yesterday and how everyone reacted.

Awesome moon today.

Parked at the village post office and ran into North Oaks. When I got back, the manager came out and asked what I was doing. The early morning crew knows everybody's car and they were alarmed to see a strange vehicle and reported it. I suppose with all the bombs and guns going off every other day and violence in postal offices.... She was cool about it when I said I was running but I won't park there again. :(
