Omaha [20151216]: Westside HillZ w/ Cedar Extension

Wound up w/ a goose yesterday, so I planned to DDSOB today.
Couldn't find the mojo this morning (howling wind had a little something to do w/ that); so, I was itching to get out today. I thought I'd packed weather appropriate clothing, nope. Needed a slightly heavier shirt, two I had on didn't quite cut it. Brr!

Had a couple of extra minutes today, so I extended to Cedar; hope it's okay I ran along the east and south edge(s) of the Westside Middle School property!

happy birthday bcohoon!!!

Hit the streets of Olde Towne and College Hts. to get out of the wind a bit. First night it felt really cold. More to come. Just slogging through again. No major complaints.

I was a piece of conduit in 2001, running from first Houston and then Bend, to Omaha. Brought the word of Jim McLatchie to Nebraska. A pint to the gruff old Scot! The first message that came through: 5 X 1 minute on/off, 5:00 easy after #5, repeat 5 X 1 minute on/off. Fun to see how it translates to walking, as close to a workout as I've had in a long while.

Snow drifts and ice made for an interesting time. Wasn't too bad except in a few places with drifts. Then 2 hours of cleaning walks at home and work. No game last night as the Bobcats closed school in the morning. Rescheduled on top of another game I had so will lose one of them. Picked up another date with another partner because of the weather so guess it's a wash.

Linda Glad were not dealing with that!

Mis cinco amigos met me for an 'Adios You're Going To Mexico' run. Little did we know, it was flippin Benny's bday!! Bryan, Ben, Greg, PJ, Matt, and myself for a cruise around town. Good run. Great guys. Ginormous Van Dorn hill. Ben likes low key birthdays he says. I say the boys missed out on some donuts.

Whole dang family heading south. Girls can't wait. And I'm just excited to show them what proper weather is all about.

Happy Wednesday. Have a good one.
