Body is beat. Feeling a little deflated, dejected, distraught. Hated to bail on this morning run, my hip is bugging, bigtime, so I hit the pool instead. Had some good laps. Not gonna lie, body is tired, but just when I think it's time to throw in the towel, a much needed pep talk with myself cured my woes.

While technically mostly gravel roads, it was mostly snow from loose to hard packed, icy conditions. Wind kept getting stronger as the ride went on. Hardest part of the ride was in the crosswind. It would blow the bike off the slick hard pack into the loose snow. Lots of saves on the bike. Never went down, but a couple times I'm not sure why!

Good thing it's not colder, not sure I could drive the pickup up the hill out of the park. Little bit crowded in the cabin with the whole family there but a really good time. Ran on the Mill using the outside interactive Charles River 7 mile course. After getting behind the first couple miles I was able to get back on track by mile 4 . Makes it a lot easier for me to run on the Mill watching these video's.

This run was mentally and physically exhausting. 1-2 inches of slush everywhere. Basically ran on sidewalks the whole time. Thank you Omaha residents. Shoes were soaked about 3 miles in. Almost called it quits at 10, but figured I was half way done, why stop now.
