Set up controlled fartlek course on 1/2 mile xc practice loop. Had 2 100m segments where I wanted kids to change gears. I ran with a couple guys who kept it going for 3 miles with total overall pace around 7 flat. Otherwise, just easy miles setting up and picking up course.

Not in a good place. My usual neck/spine issues flared up about Thursday night and it's been lots of pain since. Limited ability to bend my head forward which means, because I don't remember, I keep hitting my head on the top of the car door opening when I climb in which just jams my head down in to my spine. And hurts even more. Sleep is very elusive.

In CR this weekend visiting Brea. We talked about starting to look for a house to buy so she can get out of the rental situation and get a yard for her dog. Not to mention the tax benefits. At least she's not like a lot of millenials or whatever they are called - she's willing to start small, older home, solid bones but could use some work, garage would be great but off street parking is the priority first. Doesn't care about stainless steel appliances - just having them is all she wants. The hunt begins.
  • carljsamuelson carljsamuelson No attached garage should be a deal breaker. Especially if she's thinking kids prior to next house... having to bundle them up, just to get them TO the car would be a HUGE hassle (worth every penny of the extra coin)).

Carolyn, Greg, Matt, Ben, and I for a really enjoyable 7 miles of Cooper/Williamsburg Trails. (so I'm told). Lots of lively talk today. Weather for Saturday, new Halfsy course, runner complaints, and Chris Rock's white tux were the highlights. Lots of giggles. Knee felt almost fine.

New, revised tri results came in. Some dudes complained and men's scores were adjusted(?). Matt squeaked by Molly. :/. He didn't want to tell her, but of course we did. She still got a giant cookie from us. :). Darn dudes.
